So Salah tells me I should use my blog to write my thoughts and notes out, like a diary I share with the world. So I guess my thoughts of the day would be people can really suck sometimes.

I am working at a senior citizen home and although it was a good day cause none of my residents decided to hit me ( I am in the Alzheimer's ward) it was a very eye opening day to how selfish people can really be.

One of my residence is a very violent individual. I today wrapped my mind around why one resident can be violent when another suffering from the same disease can be gently only confused. As we were dressing this individual we will now call Suzy I noticed her clothing was all worn and she owned one pair of underwear and the elastics are coming out. I asked about this and was told her family never visits. I discussed it with my teacher and she justified it that they figure Suzy will not remember them anyways.

Is that not the most selfish thing you have ever heard. Sure they are paying a lot of money to keep her in the home and cared for but her personal needs that the facility does not and can not provide are falling apart. I noticed she has no T.V. no pictures nothing. No wonder Suzy is hitting people.

I started paying attention to the other residence and thier personalities. One of my clients is very sick and does not realise what is going on half the time. You can still get a smile out of her and her husband visits everyday. Another client is so confuse she yells and screams she is always cold and everything is awful but no hitting and today a family member visited her.

It is a very horrible conclusion but I am starting to believe that human beings revert back to infancy. If I baby who has no idea what is going on is loved unconditionally although the baby may cry from time to time it will also smile. An infant can not tell you they recognise you and may confuse your name and your role in there life they will always know you as someone familiar if you are around them allot.

Family is so important in every society it is sad that people put thier own needs and emotions in front of a family member in need. I don't care what the excuse is whether it hurts to much to visit or there is not enough time or Suzy wont remember me. It is sick sick sick!!!!!!!!!!
